Captain Archibald William Murray

Archibald Murray served in the King's Own Scottish Borderers (KOSB).He was fatally wounded by shellfire in Sermoise France and died on 13th September 1914. He is buried In Montreuil Aux -Lions British Cemetery, Aisne France.

Archibald Murray served in the ranks for more than fifteen years, and as a Warrant Officer for over six years. He served in India and Mandalay (Burma as it was known then). He received his commission as Quartermaster in the King's Own Scottish Borderers in September 1903 which is when he became affiliated to St David's Lodge.
